Vitamins for the Skin
Vitamin A
Used on the skin, Vitamin A speeds up healing of scars, stretch marks and impurities. It combats breakouts and helps the skin to hold moisture, giving a healthy ‘glow’.
Top Oil for Vitamin A: Rose Hip Seed
Vitamin B
Vitamin B reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It assists in the clearing of acne & breakouts, combats hyperpigmentation and softens the skin.
Top Oils for Vitamin B: Black Seed, Jojoba
Vitamin C
Used in skincare, Vitamin C increases the production of collagen and elastin, which both help make the skin full and healthy. The topical use of products rich in Vitamin C can help to decrease the signs of aging, smoothing and brightening the skin.
Top Oil for Vitamin C: Rose Hip Seed
Vitamin E
Has been found to be effectively anti-inflammatory for the skin, reducing the effects of UV and other environmental damage.
Top Oils for Vitamin E: Rose Hip Seed, Sweet Almond, Jojoba
Acids & Omegas
These elements are protective and hydrating to the skin. They balance the moisture in the skin while preventing and treating damage. The balancing effects of these components make these oils helpful for both dry and oily skin types; they will help to correct both types of oil imbalance.
Top Oils for Acids & Omegas: Rose Hip Seed, Evening Primrose, Jojoba, Calendula
Copper
Copper helps the skin to shed free radicals. It also stimulates collagen and elastin, which contributes to strong, plump, firm skin.
Top Oils for Copper: Sweet Almond, Black Seed
Protein
Proteins in skincare play an important role in the texture and structure of the skin. They improve elasticity and help to prevent ‘sagging’, stretching and wrinkles.
Top Oils for Protein: Sweet Almond, Black Seed
Zinc
Zinc acts as an antibacterial for the skin and is helpful for treating acne and psoriasis. It is also, of course, protective against sun damage.
Top Oils for Zinc: Sweet Almond, Black Seed
Besides eliminating the mystery of the origin and processing of the vitamin isolates being added to your skincare products, applying them to the skin through nut & seed oils puts the vitamins into a ‘wholefood’ form that your body can easily absorb and use. It’s like eating a diet of wholefoods rather than taking supplements.
